Project Story

This project is a remodel of an existing house where
the clients selected their own architect and
contractor. The project included specific attention to
detail for both the exterior and interior. While
Chambers does not consult structurally, this project
included exterior detailing to include specification of
materials, alignment of lines to appeal to the eye,
colors, type of doors, windows, hardware. The interior
included selection of color and materials, and their
placement. Suggestions such as adding the glass display
case in the entry, the segmented wall paneling to
include art niche, selection of lighting and placement,
reuse of the existing stair with addition of geometric
accents, addition of a custom hearth, mantel, and
television space to the existing stone fireplace. This
project also included implementing strong paint accents,
planning and placement of furniture, reuse of a stone
dining room table previously designed by Chambers,
selection of color and materials throughout the house
from flooring, to walls, and windows, doors, cabinetry
and surface treatments; design, selection and placement
of window treatments, tile layouts, and carpet;
consultation, procurement and placement of art and
accessories as well as placement of existing and reused
client furniture and accessories.
