Project Details
The clients had asked Lori Caroll, who was known for her sleek style, to design a warm, comfortable home for them that fit well in the Tucson desert. They had asked for a complete design project, from cabinetry to accessories. The design then is focused on the home’s simple lines and stone textures.
A soothing backdrop for the interior was made by the use of French Vanilla limestone flooring throughout most of the house. Bird’s-eye maple was used for the cabinetry, granite for countertops and accents of glass tiles for the walls. Rich and deep tones for the finishes were chosen to balance the home’s day-lighting. In the living area, a home entertainment
cabinet holds artwork as well as the TV. The kitchen was made with a raised, curved glass-and-steel breakfast bar at one end that also doubles as a buffet. A back-to-back dual vanity separated by a free-floating, two-sided mirror in the master bath.
