Project Details

The owners of this residence wanted their Hawaiian resort home to follow the true Hawaiian tradition of a “hale” home. Their other requests were that it have expansive living areas that maximized the view, and reflected tropical living among the gardens. Saint Dizier and the architect fulfilled their wish. The result – a magnificent home that makes the most of outdoor living. An open timber ceiling gives the house character and warmth, and the use of natural materials such as wood, dried thatch, timber and stone enhance the relationship between the built and inherent environments. To complement the architecture, the interior designer used materials such as tropical hardwoods and natural fibers for furnishings. The result is a gracious resort home that encourages the occupants to enjoy the nature around them.
