Project Details
This magnificent 17,000 square foot waterfront home, the interior designer’s own, features an old world European ambiance by choice and is the perfect showcase for the designer’s unique antique collection. An 18th century Belgian tapestry on the 17 feet high foyer wall, a key element in the design theme, greets guests upon entering. Everything in the house was either designed by Arlene Critzos – perfectly showcasing her talents – or found antiques.
The living room – the most formal of all the rooms – is done in a neutral palette of “fog and cream” and large enough to accommodate two sitting areas. There is a plethora of styles mixed together here – an Old World fireplace, Gothic-inspired windows, and accent pieces from France to the Southwest.
