Principals Shea Murdock, AIA, and Robert Young, AIA, established their full-service practice in 1999. They now lead a team of 10 architects in offices in Manhattan and Montauk.

Murdock Young practices an architecture of pragmatic response. Whether architecture, interior, furniture, object, or landscape, the firm guides every project from conception to completion with passion and commitment. Each design decision integrates aesthetic and contextual imperatives with those of budget, program, materials, technology, and construction techniques.

What is your approach to working with clients?

Most services are offered independently or as supplementary to Basic Services. For example, Interior Design, feasibility studies or site analysis may be provided as stand-alone services or in connection with Basic Architectural Services. Every project is unique, just as every client, building site, community and builder is unique.
