For the love of tile...
Hand painted tile and just plain wonderful!!! I love the statement these tiles make, each unique and special. I takes you back to a time when not everything was prefab...

The League of "Emptyness&qu...
An interesting league I stumbled upon the other day...the League of Empty Chairs on Flickr. Finally a place where all the lonely, unwanted and unknowing chairs can come together to make beautiful art. I had great fun peruzing the site and going through the emotions..."awh,why'd they toss that out, they could have just reupholstered it, or...poor chair, it just needs a buddy!"
Just thought I'd share with you a few of my favorite "empty" chairs...

The Last Issue...Ever!

I'm not kidding!!! That's right you heard me, I just stopped in to House and Garden website to find out that this Dec. issue will be their last one! Click here to read the Farewell letter from editor Dominique Browning.... "It is hard to know what to say, with so little time to say it. House and Garden will close its doors this week; the December issue is the last to be published. I wish I could show you all our gorgeous January issue, produced with guest editor Murray Moss. Our copies of it will become collector's items…"
I am just truly sad to hear this...one of the magazines I look most forward to reading and blogging about each month! I wonder what is next to come for the staff and others involved...or simply what's next on the horizon...

When you need to match...
there's no better chair to do so with, than a Chinese "Chippendale". Okay, I know we've seen these around quite a bit, but I'm just not sick of them yet...and you can't go wrong, they look great in any color. Am I right?
