girl meets glamour

I'm thinking with all the hard work we've been doing on the house lately (we really have, can't wait to show you the photos!), that it's time to plan a getaway...I say this because we really need one, something tells me though that our suitcases will not get much use this summer...

instead, maybe since they're getting so much time at home, I could put them to good use...and trust me I'd love to because they just might make a cute side table...

nothing is going to ever change my mind about red being one of my favorite colors, especially to use as an accent in a room...



and when Vanessa took a rather plain Chesterfield sofa and dressed it up here...

yeah, I think we should, it's just a great casual look...

Well, it's about that time of year, when I start thinking "I'd really like to sign up for sailing lessons this summer, better get on that list"...but I probably won't even sign up, because I say that every year and haven't yet, so I'll get nautical in another way, through home decor...



start small with some nautical inspired accents, like these window shades that Suzanne Kasler designed...



and maybe get this Columbia Sailboat model instead of a life-size one, which would go great in a Study...

I have always loved Oly Studio's Pipa Cocktail table since the moment I saw it...but recently I spotted what could just be this piece's "look for less" at ZGallerie!!it's not quite...but, this Obi Coffee table is available in Ivory and Brown and is offered in a side table as well...what do you think??
